My first visit to Stacey was prompted by a long-term, nagging and uncomfortable ‘tennis elbow’ – my own diagnosis – but I also knew there would be deeper aspects of my internal workings needing much more profound attention. My family life has brought some heavy emotional trauma which has had no outlet and no way of resolution but, with an obvious impact on stress levels and general health, I have long sought for and tried different ways in which to heal myself. I am just so glad to have found Bodytalk and Stacey, in particular, her experience and knowledge shines through at every session we have had. I come away from my appointments feeling like an onion (!), another layer of pain and stored up emotional stress has been peeled off and I know that soon we’ll have peeled away everything I don’t need anymore, leaving a mind and body free from so many traces and reminders of what’s happened in past years.

I am sleeping better than I have done for decades; I feel so much stronger in every way and this has been a turning point for me. I have found Bodytalk to be a very positive and healing treatment and would gladly recommend it to any friends or family, whatever their troubles or problems in life.

Thanks a million Stacey.

I had been looking for something to help my health for many years. I tried various products and therapies but their effects didn’t tend to last. I was desperate – aches and pains, lack of energy and many challenges in my life – led me to book an appointment with Stacey. The session was incredible – she sensed that I had an issue about my engagement ring. She was absolutely right. It had always felt awkward and I felt self conscious wearing it. She ‘balanced’ me to the ring and issues that I had with it just dissolved. I now love to wear it.

I have continued to have many sessions with Stacey that have been beyond words. She has got to the essence of my problems, some of which go back many generations. I can now exercise – pain free! I feel energised and am excited about life.

I have been so impressed with the BodyTalk system that I have now become a practitioner. I have found what I have been looking for all my life. Thank you Stacey.

When I first visited Stacey I was stressed out, I’d tried telling my GP my symptoms who offered drugs which I didn’t want, so I tried yoga, acupuncture, aromatherapy massage and exercise. They all helped to a certain degree but the underlying problem kept coming back and I couldn’t think of a way to deal with it because I couldn’t understand why I would be OK for a year or so and then suddenly feel like I couldn’t cope with everything. My head said it should all be no problem but my body didn’t seem to agree!

Stacey was fantastic, her calmness helped immediately. I couldn’t see at first how the Bodytalk was helping but stuck with it and now there have been so many incidents where I’ve had a Bodytalk session and an issue has come up then in the weeks that follow something in my body rights itself – totally weird but absolutely great.

1st app- 22/3/12
Told Stacey about changes in life, uni, new boyfriend, PCOS problems and medication.
Discussed belief systems. I had a lot of worry, fear. Belief systems of having to be perfect/not being good enough. This was all worked on in the session.
Afterwards felt emotional, cried quite a lot for the next week but eventually felt a weight off my mind. Throughout next few weeks felt relieved, anxiety lessened, more accepting of situations, more rational.

2nd app- 12/4/12
Session worked on the ovaries. Right ovary carrying fear, negative feeling towards world. Left needed hydrating, discussed fifth house from Chinese Medicine, issues when I was 16.
Afterwards felt happy, relieved, positive. Not wanting to cry but feeling emotional in a positive way

3rd app- 20/4/12
Left feeling relaxed and balanced. Have not had a scan yet so cannot tell difference in ovaries but hormones are definitely more balanced. Anxiety faded and more rational. Relationship with boyfriend is better and have more energy!

3 months on since seeing Stacey, I have balanced my hormones and can now take a birth control pill without side effects. Hormones are more balanced and anxiety has gone. Have not had a panic attack for months and did not panic during exams which is usually when my anxiety is the worst. Seeing Stacey helped to sort out the emotional problems that comes with my PCOS. Recommend for anyone who is suffering with hormonal imbalances or struggling to cope. Thank you Stacey.

Meditation: distorted opinions with a positive conclusion.

The image of meditation is ………………….????

I can’t tell as there are probably as many ideas as individuals. But, whatever people think about it; self-centered navel gazing, wasting time in nothingness, pretence, religious activity…… No matter which idea someone has, I have not come across anyone who was convinced it was really, really, really bad for you.

So, even though a lot of people don’t have a clue what meditation is, they are of the opinion it might do you good. A very positive perception of a concept!

And rightly so. Meditation is the skill or practice that brings us in touch with the calmer side of our existence. That aspect of our being that is not overwhelmed with input from the outside world, that aspect on the inside that is pure, unspoiled and therefore reflecting our true nature.

Reading Stacey’s blog about her daughter not winning a race brings home how fulfilling life is, if and when you are able to connect with the deeper and truer aspects of your being.

Meditation is one of the ways of connecting, but the question for a lot of us is: ‘how do you do it?’

There are a lot of techniques that can be applied, but being an experienced meditation teacher, I have found that my concept ‘Meditation with a Western flavour’ works very well. The concept combines conventional meditation techniques with down to earth guidance, music and a variety of practices.

The practice of meditation is not effortless; it has the contradiction in it of relaxed effort. You want to let go, go with the flow, and at the same time you need to take control, otherwise the mind takes over or the body falls asleep. The challenge is to find the methods that work for you.

I meditate every morning and every meditation session is an adventure in itself. There is so much inside me that is undiscovered and every time I retreat in my personal silent space a new experience ‘might’ pop up. I have to stress the word ‘might’, as every meditation is different and 8 out of 10 sessions are pretty average. Always resting, calming and joyful, but the wow-factor appears in maybe 20% of the cases.

Visiting a group meditation can be a fantastic experience, but if you want to make meditation part of your life, it is important to find a type of practice that you can do on your own, regularly and easily.

Recently, Dr Mariette Jansen, designed The Meditation Wave. A 28-day programme that helps busy people to bring meditation into their life. All materials are delivered via email or internet and it only involves 5x a day a 1 minute meditation, that can be done everywhere and anytime. The Meditation Wave aims to help everyone to embrace the meditation practice: as time and place are no hindrance, even the busiest buzzy bee could do it. Group meditators will benefit as well. By doing a daily practice you set yourself up for a deeper experience in the group, as you train your mind and body how to respond in a very short timeframe.

The programme was launched in March and some feedback of participants:

“I did the one minute meditation on Friday, felt really good, but no more. Than on Saturday, I started my morning with the meditation and I can’t believe I did it, but 2 major jobs that I had been putting off for months, were done by midday. How weird and how fantastic was that? Something had happened inside me, and I can only relate it to my new activity: the one minute meditation!”

“….Also noticed after just over a week that I seem to be sleeping better, but that may just be coincidence. I will continue to monitor that.”

“I’m finding the Meditation Wave really rewarding. It’s so useful just to be able to step out of myself for a few minutes and take a break from the world. I find it hard to blank everything out but I think I’m getting better at it. I’m certainly going to keep going. Stress is a big problem for me and although it hasn’t been easy to get into the habit of meditating, I think it’s beginning to help me. To begin with, I felt very self-conscious doing it (even when I was on my own!) but I have got over that now and enjoy the opportunity to take a few moments for myself.”

The Meditation Wave offers:

5 downloads, instructions, checklist, stress chart and daily email support. Cost £37.

BodyTalk has been a life changing experience. 8 weeks after my first visit to Stacey, I stopped smoking. It’s been 3 months since I stopped and dare I say it? I don’t even think about smoking. I don’t miss it. I don’t want it. Now this surprises me as I’ve tried to give up smoking before. It didn’t work because I worried about putting on weight or felt as though I was missing out. It was my security blanket and a friendly hand to hold whenever my nerves kicked in. I was also the Queen of Sabbotage and would find a way to the shops to buy just one more packet…….

Letting go of those beliefs and giving up smoking has lead me to feel some very raw emotions and make other changes in my life. Consequently I’m healthier in body and mind. It feels marvellous. I feel more alive and independent. It’s liberating to be free of cigarettes and I seem to have more time than ever to do the things I want to do. I’ve also quite bizarely (or not!) stopped biting my nails and treat myself to regular manicures as a treat for not smoking. It’s only March and I’ve completed two of my goals for this year. Two that I’ve been trying to achieve for almost a lifetime! Thank you Stacey.”

On my first appointment with Stacey, one could not have imagined how, in just that session, what a change could have taken place within myself.

My goal was to try to enjoy my life again and to be happy, not just outwardly, but within myself as I had been fighting the world for far to long. Life at home had become tiresome and my wife was also suffering from my moods which were a constant battle to control.

Time spent with Stacey has been enlightening as well as therapeutic and given me confidence. The simple way in which Stacey communicates, puts you at ease and every session has produced remarkable changes within myself.

Stacey has been able to help me in so many ways and today I am now thinking so clearly and have become a much happier person. It has turned my life around in so many ways and the worries are no longer, as you see them clearly and can deal with them, putting them to rest.

Bodytalk frees your mind and also widens your view so as to deal with life on a day to day basis and I would advise anyone to go and experience it .

I would like to thank Stacey very much for everything as I believe that this is the start of a new future .
